Tyleik Williams is a true senior at Ohio State and is yet another example of why OSU is able to continue to stay dominant in college football even as they turn their roster over with highly talented players entering the draft year after year. Williams is a 2 years starter, but has been contributing in a big way ever since his arrival.

Over his 4 year career, he has logged 13 sacks and 61 total pressures on opposing quarterbacks per PFF. He was mentioned on this year's Bruce Feldman Freaks List due to his combination of size and movement skills. He moves off the line and to the ball extremely effectively, constantly keying in on the ball and being a challenging player to move. He is a player that interior offensive linemen struggle with because of the force and momentum he delivers when trying to make a play.

While he has put up solid box score statistics, the glaring hole in his game is his ability to be an impact pass rusher. He has the ability to make big plays if he beats a lineman off the line, but too often he finds himself tied up in blocks and unable to get past the offensive lineman. The other weakness of his pass rush is his lack of a pass-rush plan. With his size, he often only wants to try to be a people mover and it is not overly effective on a down-to-down basis. He needs to create a counter move so that he is not getting tied up by blocks and losing steam if the first step is blocked.

If Williams can develop the technical skills of a pass rush specialist, he looks to be a dangerous three-down lineman at the next level. He has the size, speed, and early down production, he is simply missing that last element that would be the difference between him being a rotational player along the front 4 and a Pro-Bowl caliber threat.
